LOCAL INFLUENCE

Victor Allen (Hazlewood), Birmingham-Southern, LB: Led the team with a career-high nine tackles in a 35-33 win over Sewanee. Two of his tackles were behind the line for 4 yards in losses. Eight of his stops were solos.

Travis Boyd (Brewer), Troy, TE: Did not catch a pass in a 44-24 loss to Georgia but did return a kickoff 3 yards.

Wes Brown (Athens), Tennessee, DE: Made two tackles and was credited with a quarterback hurry in a 59-7 win over Louisiana-Lafayette.

Brett Byford (Hartselle), Nebraska, C: Started at center and helped the Cornhuskers gain 484 yards in a 76-39 loss to Kansas.

Luke Chenault (Decatur), North Alabama, OL: Played as a reserve at guard in the Lions’ 65-17 victory over West Georgia.

Sean Darby (East Limestone), Jacksonville State, DE: Started at nose tackle and made one tackle in the Gamecocks’ 24-12 win over Samford.

Cedric Harris (East Lawrence), Alabama State, WR: Caught a pass for 3 yards in a 21-7 defeat to Grambling State.

Morgan Hull (Austin), Auburn, K: Kicked off four times in a 35-3 win over Tennessee Tech for an average of 56 yards a kick.

Chris McWilliams (Athens), Alabama State, LB: Made two tackles and forced a fumble that a teammate recovered in a loss to Grambling State.

Curtis Garth (Tanner), Arkansas-Monticello, LB: Had one tackle in a 63-28 loss to Valdosta State.

Eric Gray (West Morgan), Alabama, DB: Made two tackles — both solo stops — in the Crimson Tide’s 41-34 loss to LSU.

Reshard Langford (Tanner), Vanderbilt, DB: Made a season-high 10 tackles in a 49-22 loss to Florida. Intercepted a pass off the arm of Tim Tebow, the No. 1-rated passer in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, and returned it 11 yards.

Steven Laye (Elkmont), Huntingdon, WR: Caught one pass for 10 yards in a 34-21 win over Hampden-Sydney.

Andy Maples (West Limestone), Missouri, DL: Played but was not credited with a tackle in a 55-10 win over Colorado.

Rolando McClain (Decatur), Alabama, LB: Ranked third on the team with seven stops in Saturday’s loss to LSU. Five of his tackles were solos.

LaDarrius Stanley (R.A. Hubbard), UAB, DL: Came off the bench in UAB’s 37-7 loss to Southern Mississippi but was not credited with any tackles.

Nikita Stover (Hartselle), Alabama, WR: Played in the Tide’s loss to LSU but did not catch a pass.

Jerraud Powers (Decatur), Auburn, DB: Made five tackles, all of which were solo stops, in the Tigers’ win over Tennessee Tech. Intercepted a pass and returned in 12 yards. Has two interceptions for the second, which is tied for second on the team.

Duron Robinson (Ardmore), Faulkner, DB: Made five tackles and an interception in a 65-7 loss to North Greenville.

John Scott (Austin), Jacksonville State, DL: Started at nose tackle and made one tackle in the Gamecocks’ win over Samford.
