Noteworthy: Auburn has won both meetings against Alabama State, but the two school haven’t played since December 1994. ... Auburn is 10-0 all-time against teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference. ... The game will mark the first time Auburn has played in Montgomery since beating Alabama in the capital city in 1967. ... After two games, Auburn is hitting 45 percent of its shots from the free-throw line. ... The Tigers have four players averaging in double digits scoring following their 1-1 start to this season. ... Auburn center Boubacar Sylla did not practice with the team Thursday and is “questionable” for the Tigers’ game at Alabama State on Friday. During Tuesday’s win over Kennesaw State, Sylla injured his ankle following an attempt at a one-handed dunk.
