Postcard from the Cotton Bowl
Daily Sports Writer Bradley Handwerger is in Dallas covering No. 10 Auburn's Jan. 1 Cotton Bowl game against No. 22 Nebraska. As of press time, he was still lost in the city's sea of roads.
The first thing you notice about Dallas when you fly in is that it's huge. We're talking Atlanta huge, but bigger.
The second thing you notice is that the city is made mostly of roads instead of buildings. To get to Auburn's practice facility at Southern Methodist University from the hotel, a 15-mile drive, I had to go on Texas 114, Texas 183, Interstate 35-East, U.S. 75, Interstate 45, and finally, Texas 75 again.
I'm still confused. But that route does take you through downtown and, well, it's a nice city.
